The Mallard Creek High School Band Boosters are dedicated to ensuring a quality education for our students through providing ongoing support to our band program. The primary purpose of band boosters are to assist the Director of Bands in the development of excellence in music education, performance and leadership skills in our students. The Mallard Creek High School Band Boosters are a committed group of parents, who volunteer their time and talent to ensure the success of the band program. It takes a great deal of energy, ideas and organization each year to meet all the needs of the program. Many committees are in place to accomplish the extensive goals of the organization. Our band boosters volunteers assist with fundraising, planning for band activities such as competitions and trips, chaperoning, serving meals and generally supporting the band at various competitions such as MPA’s and marching band competitions.

We support the Mallard Creek High School Band through:
Student support: We support the study of music to help students increase appreciation for the arts, experience the satisfaction of performance at a high level, build self-discipline and teamwork skills and demonstrate leadership skills.
Financial support: Coordinating and facilitating fundraisers to provide a solid financial base for various needs of our music programs.
Leadership support: Volunteering to help with not only fundraisers, but concerts and chaperones for other band events when needed.
Community support: To increase community awareness of the importance of music and the benefits that each individual in the community attains through the study of music.

Fundraising Support:
One of the major goals of the Mallard Creek High School Band Boosters is to provide support to students, band director and staff. In order to help keep the level of our band program to what is expected and help students achieve their goals, we must fundraise yearly. It takes a considerable amount of revenue to offer students their well-deserved quality band experience. Where does this money go? Every year is different, but income generated by fundraising activities and donations provides funds towards many activities such as outside instruction for all aspects of the band program (color guard instruction, drum coaches) marching shows (drills, music, band camp, etc.), concert music, percussion ensemble music, equipment such as flags and instruments, student awards/recognition, travel (buses, food), registration fees for concert/symphonic band participation in MPA, administrative items, – the list goes on and on. All band students are asked to participate in fundraising activities for the purpose of enhancing the overall band program. Obviously, it is easy to see how band boosters fundraising efforts benefit the band program and our students. Band is one of the many positive activities that students can participate in throughout high school, and create wonderful memories well beyond.
